- 1/2 table spoon Sake
- 1/2 table spoon Oyster sauce
- 1 tea spoon Chinese chicken stock powder
- 1 tea spoon Grated ginger
- 1 tea spoon Grated garlic
- 50 ml Water
- Sauce ingredients B
- 1 table spoon Potato starch or corn starch
- 1 table spoon Water
- Black pepper
- Spring onion (chopped)
Instructions to make to make Yakisoba noodles with starchy sauce
- Take out the noodle from a packet. Heat a pan, add some sesame oil and cook the noodle under low-medium heat until the noodles become slightly brown. Set the noodle aside.
- Cut the pork belly and Chinese cabbage in small bite sizes. Use the same pan, heat sesame oil and cook pork belly. Once the pork is mostly cooked, add Chinese cabbage and cook until they become soft. I put the lid to make it cook faster.
- Add sauce ingredients A. Mix and cook until the water boils. Once it’s boiled, stop the heat and add sauce ingredients B(starch mixed with water). Mix well and heat it up again until the sauce becomes starchy.
- Pour the sauce on top of the noodles. Sprinkle some black pepper or spring onions on top !
