- 2 knorr beef stock pot
- 3 carrots
- 4 celery sticks
- 2 large onions
- 4 cloves garlic

- 1 can Tomato purée
- 6 bay leaves
- 4 teaspoons mixed spice
- Salt
- Pepper

- Peel carrots and celery (first layer).
Grate carrots and celery using cheese grater.
Dice onions into tiny pieces.
Finely chop garlic. - Fry the onions in olive oil at medium-high heat for 5 mins stirring frequently. Add garlic and fry for a further 5 mins.
- Add the carrots and celery then fry for another 10 minutes at medium heat stirring frequently. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the beef and pork mince. Break up and stir until browned at medium-high heat for approx 10 mins. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the stock pot and mix in. Optional half glass of red wine can be added at this stage.
- Add the passata and purée. Add the mixed spice and bay leaves. Bring to boil then reduce heat down to low.
- Add a dash of milk and stir
- Leave to simmer at low heat for 1.5 hours.
- Boil your pasta and away you go.
